In 1973-74, six teams of teenagers from as many countries competed in the first world junior hockey championships in the USSR. All of the teams except one were all stars, the other was a club team, The Peterborough Petes playing in the Ontario Hockey Association.
Arnold searches for and finds the Team Canada players then takes readers on their journey using their memories, scrapbooks, documents, radio broadcasts and the scant media coverage of the day. Their season and tournament is part of hockey's and Peterborough's history that he thinks should never be forgotten.
